Greve in Chianti, Italy A Great Place For Carnivores! Vegetarians Beware.

It is the eve of the Royal Wedding…..Prince William and Kate Middleton finally tying the knot……..but I want to tell you about a MEAT Story.

Italy is such a wonderful country to visit.  If you have been, you always return.  It just keeps getting better.

We had a quick trip to Tuscany over the Easter Break and I have to show you this amazing butcher shop…….

The butcher pulled up in this wonderful automobile......full of meat!

Marcelleria Falorni in Greve is a must.  It is stocked with the most amazing products, the people behind the counters are friendly and helpful and the looks on the faces of the people who walk in there are amazing.

Memorize this name and go take a visit when in the Chianti Region of Italy.

Just one small part of the shop, note the motorbikes parked there.

Even the ceilings are covered with meat......

Choice is tantalizing and sometimes overwhelming.......

A carnivore's delight.

Now where is the bacon?

You can take a peep to see them working and check out what is on this chopping board........

One room leads to another, leads to another, leads to another...........

The old weighing machines in red are so wonderful for the eye.....they exude so much charm and character..

If you don't like meat and you do get to this amazing shop, then go downstairs into the historical cellar and check out the cheeses..........

Say cheese please.......

So that is my little post about Greve.  The Piazza there is small but enchanting.  A great place to eat is in the Trattoria just down by the butcher shop.  I had wide ribbon noodles with wild boar sauce and even though it is not the season, the meal was outstanding.

Greve in Chianti, Italy is well worth a stop……
