Sydney ‘BAT’anical Gardens Evicting The Bats…..

I did a post a while ago on  Sydney’s bats.  This is an update to say that the bats will be evicted.  Where and how they are going to be relocated is not known but the 22,ooo cannot stay there.  The grey headed flying fox is an endangered species so that cannot be killed but the big eviction will happen in May, 2011.

I guess the people in the Sydney Botanical Gardens will be glad to get rid of them because of the damage they have caused.  They have killed so many trees and so many rare trees and plants remain vulnerable.

Australian native Banksia.

Let’s wait and see where they end up.  Stay tuned, same bat time, same bat channel……

I think I am going batty.

One question?  After they evict them, how are they sure they don’t return??

  1. They bundle them all into the Bat Mobile and drive them to the Bat Cave where they will live happily ever after.

  2. Of course they do! To the bat cave!
